Snap Finance Foundation Expands Global Impact With 2025 Grants to 21 Community Organizations
Snap Finance Foundation invests over $150,000 in 21 nonprofits advancing financial empowerment, economic mobility, and community resilience across three countries
Salt Lake City, UT – December 09, 2025 — The Snap Finance Foundation has announced its 2025 Community Grant recipients, awarding more than $150,000 to 21 nonprofit organizations in their primary office locations throughout the United States, the United Kingdom, and Costa Rica. Now in its fourth year, the program supports nonprofits advancing Snap’s core pillars of financial empowerment, career readiness, and resilient communities, reflecting the company’s continued commitment to helping people thrive.

Several standout partnerships highlight Snap Finance’s ongoing dedication to charitable giving and volunteerism, including its partnership with the International Rescue Committee (IRC). IRC is dedicated to helping people affected by humanitarian crises to survive, recover, and rebuild their lives. Snap Finance’s grant program supports IRC’s Spice Kitchen Incubator, which is a comprehensive program that ensures participants receive technical assistance and training, have affordable access to commercial kitchen space and learn the steps to establishing a successful food business in their local community. Snap Finance’s vision is a world where everyone has the means to thrive, and this program directly supports budding entrepreneurs to create a stronger and more prosperous future.
Building on this partnership, Snap also collaborated with the IRC throughout the year on initiatives aligned with the company’s giving pillars. Snap team members volunteered to support their New Roots garden, which helps refugees and new Americans grow familiar foods from their homelands to create healthy families and build community. Through the IRC’s Spice Kitchen Incubator, Snap team members taught virtual classes on using social media and other topics to help entrepreneurs grow their businesses. Snap also hosted a family night at the Salt Lake City Zoo, welcoming more than 100 individuals served by the IRC for an evening of connection and activities.

This year, we focused on aligning our volunteer and giving efforts with programs that promote economic empowerment and support Snap’s mission of unlocking financial flexibility for a better life. Another key initiative is Snap Finance’s partnership with Volunteers of America, Utah, which provides community-supported pathways for vulnerable individuals to improve their lives and increase their self-reliance. The largest volunteer project to date this year brought together over 600 Snap Finance team members to serve 3 nonprofit partners, including the Utah chapter of Volunteers of America. Snap team members assembled 750 backpacks filled with essentials to support youth experiencing homelessness in Utah and keep their inventory stocked for 10 months.
With support from Snap Finance, First Step House, another non-profit partner, is expanding its work to help individuals secure stable housing and build long-term self-sufficiency. Their integrated model combines behavioral health treatment, supportive housing, and employment services to address critical issues such as homelessness and economic stability in order to serve around 1,700 people each year. This model shines at Valor House, First Step House’s transitional housing for veterans experiencing homelessness, supported by Snap Finance. Last year, Valor House helped 121 veterans have a safe place to live as they transitioned to stable housing. This holistic approach strongly aligns with Snap’s giving pillars and reinforces Snap’s commitment to strengthening communities.
These contributions are just a few examples of Snap Finance’s deep commitment to making a difference through financial support and hands-on community engagement. By partnering with the Community Foundation of Utah, the company has amplified its impact across organizations that empower underserved individuals and communities.
